Multnomah NET is committed to building stronger communities within the Multnomah Neighborhood and beyond. We help neighbors create Community Preparedness Pods comprised of neighbors with a shared interest in being able to help each other during emergencies, large or small. Knowing that there are people nearby who can help you, or that you can help, creates a stronger sense of security and well-being in your neighborhood.
A Community Preparedness Pod consists of two or more nearby households. Members meet socially on a routine basis to get to know each other better and learn about their neighborhood and emergency preparedness. The purpose of these meetings is to build neighborhood relationships, expand social connections, learn about emergency preparedness practices, and improve decision-making skills during emergencies - large or small.
Multnomah NETs support the Community Preparedness Pods by providing guest speakers and educational material. NETs guide Pod members through the various aspects of becoming prepared for an emergency.
